Customizing Lims
Every lim can be deeply personalized — from personality to operating rules.
Lim Identity
- Name — give your lim a memorable name
- Avatar — choose an emoji avatar
- Soul — core identity description that defines who the lim is
- Voice — communication style (formal, casual, technical, creative)
- Personality — general behavior traits
Skills
Each lim can have up to 8 skills equipped at a time. Skills are RPG-style abilities that expand what a lim can do:
- Preinstalled — come with the archetype by default
- Learned — acquired through experience and the DreamTask self-improvement loop
- Connector — enable integration with external tools and platforms
- Generated — custom skills created by Nexus based on your needs
With 79+ skills available, you can create highly specialized lims for any task.
Custom Instructions
Add specific operating rules for each lim:
Example instructions for a Content Maker:
"Always include a call-to-action at the end of every post"
"Never use the word 'synergy' or corporate buzzwords"
"Keep tweets under 200 characters for better engagement"
"Reference our product features at least once per article"
Tools
Lims have access to 51 built-in tools — and these are real executions, not simulations:
- Web browsing and research
- File creation and management
- Code execution (bash, scripts)
- Git operations
- API calls
- Social media publishing
- Image and content generation
Permissions: Tool access can be restricted per lim. Modes include read-only, workspace-write, and full-access. Configure this in the lim's Runtime Profile.
